BUELLTON’S COMMUNITY VISIONING PROCESS BEGINS
The long awaited Community Visioning Process, which the City Council approved last year, has begun!
The process includes three public visioning workshops that will be held between March and June. During these workshops extensive public comments will be used to determine how best to move forward with the Avenue of Flags redevelopment project, develop consensus around what the community wants Buellton to look like in the next 10-20 years, and revise the City’s land use regulations and policies, as appropriate.
To ensure this project is well planned and facilitated, the City hired the consulting firm of RBF: Urban Design Studio to oversee this process. Susan Harding and her team will lead the three public visioning workshops. A fourth workshop will take place sometime in early fall after the City has drafted proposed changes to applicable ordinances and regulations that result from public consensus.
The first Public Visioning Workshop will solicit community ideas of how to make our community better, and will take place on:
Thursday, March 18
6:30-8:30 p.m.
Oak Valley Elementary School — Multi-Purpose Room
595 Second Street
